Is Softool really free?
Yes. Every tool is free, with no account, no trial period and no watermark added to your files. Because your own device does the work, running the site costs very little, so there is nothing to charge for.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Your files are opened and processed inside your browser tab, on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. The site is also blocked by its own security policy from sending data to other addresses.
Is there a file size or daily limit?
There is no fixed limit on file size, page count or how many files you process. Very large files are limited only by the memory of your device.
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Every tool works in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on phones, tablets and computers.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Open a tool in your browser and it is ready. Larger tools, such as text recognition, load their engine the first time you use them.
Will it keep working if my connection drops?
Once a tool has loaded, your file is processed without the internet, so a dropped connection does not interrupt it.
