Change the dimensions of JPG, PNG and WebP pictures

Resize a photo to the exact pixel size a form, website or social network asks for. Type a width, a height or both; with Keep proportions on, the picture is fitted inside that box without being stretched. Or scale by percentage, to make every image half the size for example. Many images can be resized in one go, each is saved in its original format, and none of them leave your device.

Good to know

Answers to common questions about Resize image.

Will my picture be stretched?

Not while Keep proportions is on: the picture is scaled to fit inside the width and height you give. Turn it off to force an exact width and height.

Can I make an image larger?

Yes, but enlarging cannot add detail, so a picture made much larger looks soft.

Does resizing reduce the file size?

Making a picture smaller in pixels also makes the file smaller. For the smallest file, run it through Compress image afterwards.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Resize image runs inside your browser tab and your file never leaves your device. Close the tab and nothing remains.
