Which format should I choose?
JPG for photos and anything that must open everywhere. PNG for screenshots, logos and pictures with see-through areas. WebP for websites, where it gives the smallest files.
What happens to transparent areas?
PNG and WebP keep them. JPG cannot be see-through, so those areas are filled with white, or with a colour you choose.
Are animated GIFs supported?
Only the first frame of an animated GIF or WebP is converted.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
